There are 2 different common plants that go by the name of umbrella plant. (A good reason to ask the botanical name of any plant when you get it, and get used to using that name.) The first one (more common) is one of several varieties of Schefflera: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/schefflera/schefflera-plant-care.htm [1]
