How to Get Geraniums to Bloom Again After Winter

I kept a geranium over winter and watered it as usual and gave it sunlight. Now after putting it back outside it has nice big leaves and looks healthy but will not bloom again. What do I do to make it bloom?

Are you giving it a well balanced fertilizer? If your plant food has a high nitrogen content, the plant is putting all it’s energy into foliage. You might consider using a fertilizer with a higher phosphorus value a couple times to kick start the bud initiation, then alternate with a balanced fertilizer.
