rose bush has no leaves

How do you trim a rose bush that has no leaves? It has already bloomed once but now has nothing on it except branches. My rose bushes have had blooms already this year and normally I cut the dead bloom off and more roses come. Not in this case. All I have are branches. No leaves or anything.

That is odd. ?? Are the leaves falling off or have they been eaten totally? Seems like something must be attacking the foliage. At any rate, you can deadhead the roses by pruning off the dead blooms about two inches below them.
