Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have planted calladium and elephant ears for the first time. I live in area 6b, and have a friend who leaves them in the ground all winter, but I have read they should be dug up. Not sure what to do.

Caladium will have to be wintered indoors. They will not survive in your area, outdoors over winter.

Some Elephant ears can survive, depending on the type, that far north. Most won't. You will have to know that it is a cultivar that will survive outdoors, but a simple mulching will do for those types.
