There are only a handful of things that can inhibit the growth of these invasive herbs. Cool temperatures, under around 70 degrees F, can slow the growth. Overwatering will slow it drastically, also. Next will come sunlight. These need full sun to, only partial shade. They will not do well if there is not enough light to keep them happy.
