How Do I Stake Tall, Bending Bamboo Plants?

The bamboo plants are overhanging our garden pond now and they are bent. Last year, regular staking techniques caused them to break off at the stake site during a blizzard. I am in Massachusetts. TY

If the bamboo were mine, I’d remove the offending canes. If snow bends other canes, remove them in spring. Bamboo usually isn’t staked.
