How deep to plant hydrangeas from seed?

I have seen an article based upon sowing hydrangeas from seed on here, but it has not been stated of how deep or what not.. I need help! :p

Surface sowing means they need light to germinate.

Fill your tray 2/3’s full with perlite or soilless potting mix and water well.
Then place your seeds on top and cover with a clear lid or plastic wrap and place in bright location.
Transplant the hydrangea seedlings to 1-gallon potting containers once the plants develop three to four healthy leaves.
