How can I keep pomegranate trees from producing fruit?

Trees grown against a fence for landscaping along a heavily traveled road. People stopping to pick the fruit is a liability. Rodents come to eat fruit; neighbors on other side of fence complain. Sloat Nursery claimed that they used to carry a defruiting product at “their other store” and to look online. I can’t find the product mentioned online.

You could try to remove the blossoms on the tree in the spring to reduce the fruit development.
You could add Nitrogen to increase the leave production and inhibit flowers from forming.
You could replace the tree and remove the liability from your property.

Their are chemical products that licensed tree professionals can use to inhibit fruit production.
