How can I get rid of wild ash in my borders

Wild ash has taken over my flower beds. How to get rid of it?

Pulling the weed tress out when they are small is a good safe way to remove.
Other suggestions are listed in the link below.
Be careful if you use herbicides as they will kill everything!
