Hostas that are edible

What types of hostas are edible in MO? Also, which roses grown in MO have large hips in an abundant amounts for harvesting for cooking?

Hosta are herbaceous perennial from the Asparagaceae family.
The well kept secret is that Hosta are edible.

Select the young tender shoots as the older are bitter.
Even the flowers are edible.

Hosta are toxic to cats and dogs, so keep that in mind.
