Horse Manure

Can’t I use horse manure to plant my garden and when I plant a tree? My sister mentioned this to me, but I will like to know from people that know best.

Manure is great for amending and feeding the soil. Aged manure, which is recommended, does not have any foul odor as does fresh manure, which is too high in nitrogen and will burn plant roots. Composting the manure is also a good idea, though you don’t have to as this depends on your needs and space. Larger areas are normally tilled into the soil but for smaller spaces, you can simply mix it into the soil pre-planting or add it around existing plants. You can also make manure tea and just water plants with it. For more information, these articles should help: [1], [2], [3]
