Hollyhocks and seeds

How does the hollyhock reproduce? Do all those seeds along the stems just fall off and become new plants the next year??

It has been my experience that hollyhocks, in most cases, will reproduce on their own, however you can harvest the seeds before they fall off to ensure that you have the next generation ready.
