Hollyhocks

I want to grow hollyhocks on a terrace against the house wall. How deep do the containers need to be?

I would make sure the container was anywhere from 8-12 inches deep to accommodate for its fairly long roots. This article will help with growing and caring for hollyhocks: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hollyhock/tips-on-hollyhocks-growing-hollyhocks-successfully.htm [1]
