holes or slits on leaves

This pepper plant does not have any visible disease that I can tell, but I see leaves like these every day. I prune them in case it is a disease but I’m confused. Is there anything I can do to correct it?
Thank you for your help.

This looks more like insect damage, a small beetle perhaps. Take a large piece of cardboard and shake the plant over it. If nothing falls out, carefully examine the interior and underside of leaves for insects or caterpillars. Young caterpillars are very small and often green, making them hard to see. Your plant seems very healthy and I would leave it alone since the damage is minor. Birds feed insects to their young; maybe nature will take care of your issue.
