Hibiscus Plants In Colorado Winter

I have 3 hibiscus plants, 2 smaller ones and one about 4 foot tall. We live in Colorado. Do we need to bring them in the house for the winter or will they survive?

If they are in pots, this would certainly make it easier, as you can place them either indoors or in a protected area. For those planted in the ground, mulch and winter wrapping of hardy varieties may be enough.
