Hibiscus not blooming

My hibiscus put on a few blooms this spring and has done nothing since. Our spring/summer was unusually hot as well as the nights. Do you think now that fall has arrived it will start to bloom? I will bring them in when nights fall to 39, but they have always put on such beautiful large flowers. What’s wrong here? Can you help? What is the deal with epsom salt, please let me know, I have plenty of it.

It likely needs some more fertilizer, especially phosphorus which helps with blooming. Use a “bloom booster” fertilizer or add some bone meal to the soil to help add some phosphorus. You could also try giving it a teaspoon of Epsom salts dissolved in a quart of water.
