Hibiscus leaves turning yellow and falling off plant

My hibiscus is in a container and had been beautiful until last week. Its leaves began turning yellow and falling off. Now it looks terrible and I don’t know what to do. Too much water, too little water?? It is in a large container so I know it isn’t crowded. Just not sure what to do. Thank you for your help.
