Hibiscus Fertilizer

I have recently purchased a bag of Vigoro Rose Plant Food granules (12-6-10). I was wondering if I could use this fertilizer on my Hibiscus plants, which are in pots. If so, can you tell me how much granules to use in tbsp. and how often? I have been using Scotts All Purpose Plant Food (10-10-10) but not getting good results. Since our local stores (Home Depot and Lowes, etc) do not carry Hibiscus Plant Food, I am desperate. Thanks for any info.

I would look for one with a higher phosphorus (middle number), as this would promote healthier and more blooms. You can also use a ‘bloom booster’ fertilizer or add some bone meal to the soil to help add some phosphorus.
