Hibiscus Blooming

I have two hibiscus plants growing in containers. I have had them for 7-10 years. Every year they bloomed beautifully, until the last two years. I have watered, fertilized and pruned them as I thought they needed. What have I done wrong? I MISS MY GORGEOUS FLOWERS!

It may be that you gave them too much fertilizer. If they get too much nitrogen, it will cause them to produce leaves but not flowers. Try adding phosphorous to the soil and cut back on nitrogen rich fertilizer. This article will help you with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/soil-fertilizers/phosphorus-plant-growth.htm [1]
