Hi. Why Is My Burrows Tail Turning A Red/purple Color And Shriveling Some?

I live in San Diego, keep my burrows tail outside. Has been cold in the early morning and rainy. Why is it turning red?

When a succulent is stressed, it can change color. The cool temperatures could have stressed it, plus the shriveled leaves indicate a lack of water, another source of stress.

I'm sure it will be fine when conditions return to normal.
