London soil is neutral possibly a little acidic, in a southeast facing bed. What is a good choice and when should I plant it? Hi. Whole question – I want to replace an invasive large snowberry bush with something fast growing with flowers that bloom for as long as possible. London soil is neutral possibly a little acidic, in a southeast facing bed. My garden has a tropical feel with some cottage shrubs. I was thinking a rose maybe. What is a good choice of plant and when should I plant it?

A shrub rose would be nice or a Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) blooms from mid-summer to fall. A butterfly bush (buddleia spp.) also would be a good choice. Hydrangeas are all the rage right now, too.
