Hen & chick care

My hens & chicks plants all have a lot of brown at the base of the plant but the tops are still nice and green. Are they dying? Can they be saved?

This can be somewhat normal, as the old growth dies off. It can also signify a lack of light. If they seem to have an elongated stem, then would even more further the suspicion that this is the case. Here is an article that will give you more information on the care of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/cacti-succulents/hens-chicks/growing-hens-and-chicks.htm [1]
