Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHi, I took some root cuttings last year thinking it was Japanese Anemone, however, I think I may have inadvertently propagated ground elder instead. I have attached a photo. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you are right. After doing an online comparison, the seedlings do look like ground elder.
