Have A Small Bush Covered With Aphids, Should I Cut Back Or Treat With Spray?

I don’t know what type of bush it is. It has red flowers on it that resembles a bottle brush. It is covered with clusters of white aphids. It would take a lot of spray to treat, can I just prune it down?

First try hosing them off. They also can be wiped off with paper towels. They are soft and easy to remove.

Not knowing what the shrub is, I don't know if pruning will delay flowering. If it is flowering now, I wouldn't prune till the flowers cease.
