Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live near Trinity Bay, South Texas. I know we have grub worms. Please advise what can be done to discourage them. I have a small part of our back yard that I have made an above ground flower garden and vegetable garden. When we first moved here, when cleaning up our property. While removing pieces of rotted dead tree root I came across a large slow moving creature…never in my days had I come across the largest grub worm ever. It was abouy 3 inches round and approximately 6 to 8 inches long. Wish I had kept it and sent to Texas A & M Agriculture Dept. However, yes, it is a goner. (We had 28 beautiful trees with moss hanging down. Most beautiful property. However, due to the hurricanes, they are all gone now.) We have a tremendous number flocks of various species of birds and we don’t want to cause harm to them. Believe me, these birds just love worms. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
