Growing Alstroemeria As A House Plant In Cold Climates

Hi I live in New Jersey and wanted to know how I can grow alstroemeria in a pot as a house plant in the winter and bring out in summer?

Theoretically, this could be an option. This would be a rather large container, however. They need quite a bit of soil to accommodate their large taproot. Here are a couple of articles for information on their care:
