ground stump remains

I am going to have some Juniper stumps ground out next week. Having done it before, I know that’s going to leave me with a bunch of nice ground up wood. Can I just mix all that stuff into the soil or is it too much fresh raw wood? If it’s too raw to leave in the ground now, will it compost? Can I leave some in and compost some? If it makes a difference, what I plan to put in this cleared area is 2 new shrubs (a potentilla and a golden spirea) and, on one end, some herbs. Thanks.

It would be best to let it sit a while or add it to the compost heap. Fresh wood shaving/sawdust will burn plants.
