Leaves falling off christmas cactus

Leaves falling off Christmas cactus even when very green. My Christmas cactus looks, or seems, healthy but I am finding leaves or the part that the flowers blooms from. What could be causing it?

Are the leaves on your cactus thin or plump?

Christmas cacti drop stem segments and buds when exposed to environmental stresses such as temperature extremes, hot/cold drafts, light intensity that is too low or over-watering.
