Gourds Drying In A Room Over Winter?

I have a pottery room and it is attached to my house. I have gourds hanging in now for the winter and some of them have mold. I try to get them mold off and use them bleach water to clean them. Is it safe to have them in an enclosed room will the mold make us sick?
