Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comPlanted several different type of giant elephant ear bulbs in large pots in early spring. Put some in shade, some in sun, some in partial shade. None are growing well at all. Have 2 maybe 3 leaves and entire plants not much more than a foot or two tall. Advertised as leaves alone should be 5 feet. What could be my problem with these! Thank you

These plants perform best in sunny areas (or at least partial sun) and thrive in moist soil, so you’ll also need to water often if the soil stays relatively dry. Adding a thick layer of mulch can help retain moisture. They also respond well to slow-release fertilizer, which should help boost that growth you’re looking for.
