Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHello. We are Cary Academy students working on an Advanced Environmental Sciences class project; there is currently a plot of soil in a planter box under an HVAC exhaust vent, and we want to start a small garden. We would like to know if this is a realistic goal and what plants would be able to survive temperature extremes or if we could create a structure to regulate the temperature. Please respond whenever you have time. Thanks! -Ethan Norfleet, Hannah Owens, Gavin Baker

This article should help. You will need to make some concessions for the increased wind and drying out of plants, plus possible extremes in heat or cold. A viist with your local extension group may help, too.
