Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in Texas and over the winter my gardenia’s leaves all turned brown due to a frost. I see signs of new growth. Should I trim off the brown leaves or just let it alone to come back on its own?

I would wait until spring is fully here to cut back the plant. It will help protect any new growth, just in case another freeze occurs. Be aware that the buds will have been damaged and it is unlikely you will get flowers this year.
