Foxtail Palm Trees

During the recent hurricane, my two Foxtail palm trees sustained several broken palm fronds toward the top of the trees. Do I just let them remain broken and hanging down until they die naturally, or do I cut these off? Since the Foxtails naturally shed their dead palm fronds from the bottom layer of fronds, I’ve never had to deal with this. Thank you.

If the leaves are still green, it is best to leave them on the palm. They are still photosynthesizing and providing energy that will help the palm recover. If any portions turn brown, you can cut off the brown parts to improve appearance if desired.
