please. doing some Bible related research. once [a fig tree in israel] sap starts: is it days, weeks [or even simultaneous] before new leaves sprout?? thank you for your valuable time -richard

Fig trees have latex, a white sap, that is more prominent in under ripe stems. A ripe fig will not ooze sap when it is separated from the tree. By some reports, the fig is the last tree in spring to leaf out.
