ficus tree looks really branchy

I have had my ficus tree about 10 years. It loses leaves in the winter. It sets near french doors but not real close to doors. But I have noticed it looks really light in the body of tree. It has a lot of leaves near 3-4 inches from the ends but the middle is very branchy. All you see is branches. It is a wide tree but is not sure with leaves. I have looked very well and see no insects and my leaves are dark green no spots, white leaves. Any suggestions?

A 10 year old ficus! Wow, that’s impressive!

I think your ficus may need just a new pot, and some new potting soil added to the pot. Don’t go to much larger, just 1to 2 inches larger.

Then care for your plant as you have been.

Here is a link to ficus care.
