Fairytale cactus

I purchased this cactus and it’s growing fine but has a white powder like matter. I did use some diluted peroxide a few months back but I’m seeing it again. I irritated some of the outer flesh using this but not enough to worry myself over. Take a look…I’ll try and get a good picture.
