butterfly bush

Every spring my butterfly bush looks like it is dead. There are new shoots coming up from the bottom. Should I cut off the dead growths from last year?

You can prune as little as the spent flowers or 1/3 of the plant for a shape up.

Butterfly Bush is hardy and can adapt to all pruning.

Here is the pruning article again.
