EUONYMUS FORTUNEI ‘SILVER QUEEN’ – Some Leaves Turn Yellow And Some Small Branches Are Drying

I relocated 2 well-established EUONYMUS FORTUNEI within my front yard 6 months ago. One is ‘SILVER QUEEN’ the other one is golden. They are both about 1.6m high and 1 2m spread. They settled well in last 6 months. But the leaves in some parts on the Silver Queen start turning yellow and falling recently, followed by some of the small branches are drying out and can be easily broken. I can see some of the green leaves are losing their colour and shine fade. But the golden one right next to it seems very Healthy and actively growing. Could you advise what can I do to save my lovely Silver Queen? By the way. We are in the UK and not in a dry zone. Many many thanks

Check for scale bugs. Euonymus is notorious for getting scale. In the beginning they are small and barely noticeable till you have an infestation. Also make sure the soil is well draining. It is possible there is a change in soil from one plant to the next. Saturated soil can cause yellowing and leaf drop. Another issue could be powdery mildew if the shrub is getting some shade.
