Eucalyptus Tree

I have a eucalyptus tree, about 10 years old and about 20 feet high. After all the bad weather we have had, it now looks as if it is dead. All the leaves have turned brown and it really looks sorry for itself. Had the tops taken out last year in the warmer weather, but did not seal any open bark. I don’t know if I should have it chopped down or wait and see if it will suddenly perk up. Any suggestions please.

The unusually cold temps have done a number on many plants this year. So yes, it is possible that it may have died, but it is not for certain. Older trees can survive cold spells for short periods with only leaf loss as damage.
