Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comLandscapers planted them twice. Dying — started out 3 now up to 8, and looks like more every day. It’s been very hot here and they’ve been on a drip system daily. I checked the soil and they seem to be getting enough water. I don’t know what else to do. Suggestions?

Perhaps the soil is remaining moist constantly without a dry out. This will cause a fungal infection as you are describing. Ideally they will only need water once the first 2 or 3 inches are completely dry.
A fungicide may help here but you may need to plant in a different area while the soil is being treated.
