Does rubber plant lead to tuberculosis?

I have heard that rubber plants are dangerous and are best avoided since they contain tubercular bacteria. I am not sure about this so want to hear from experts. It would be of great help if you can  clear my doubts regarding this issue. I like rubber plants and want to have them indoors.

This is not true. Tuberculosis is normally caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, a bacterium that is spread from person to person through airborne particles. It cannot be transmitted via plants, so rest easy. Grow yourself a rubber tree plant – it’s perfectly safe to do so.
