Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHi! Does new growth of a Clematis Jackmanii have fine hairs on the stem? I ask this because my plant seemingly died last year. I now have a new stem growing out of the ground, which I hope is the Clematis. It is currently around 6″ tall, with a flexible stem dotted with long, narrow leaves. Thank you for any information.

Clematis leaves appear in leaflets of three. There are no hairs on Jackmanii so you may have another type of vine coming up.
