Does a banana plant die in cold weather?

I’m wondering if it will survive inside a garage where there’s no heat.

There are varieties of Hardy Banana plants that are hardy to zone 4.

If you have one of these varieties you should be able to winter it over in a garage.

You can always add some protection with bubble wrap or plastic insulation.
