Do plum rootstocks bear fruit?

Two of my plum trees died but the rootstock has sent up healthy shoots. None have flowered (second year). Will I have a nice tree, flowers, fruit of any sort, or should I cut them down?

It would be hard to say what exact variety the rootstock is as many are used for fruit trees. But, in general, rootstock trees produce inferior fruit and flowers and if you want these from your trees, it would be best to get rid of them and start over.
