Do, or will, blackberry bushes grow like vines?

We want to plant blackberry bushes along our fence line and would like to know if they will grow like vines? Do they block the wind, etc. ?

They are not so good for a wind block. While some people refer to them as having “vines”, they actually have canes. It won’t climb a fence and intertwine with it.
