Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comDo I prune my gardenia bush that now has brown leaves from the cold winter? Our winter was colder than usual and my gardenia bush has suffered. All the leaves are brown. I can see new green growth coming in in places. Is there anything I should do to help it recover from the winter? It is a large bush about 4 feet in height and similar circumference. It was planted by the previous owner and we have owned the place for 23 years. It always blooms so beautifully each year. I hope I can help it recover. Thank you for your help.

If the stems are green, I would not prune them. They can regrow their leaves. Only prune the brown stems off.
