Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy day lilies were about 6 inches tall and then we got 8 inches of snow, they look almost transparent and bent over, they appear to have gotten frozen. Do I cut them off and start over or will they survive and bloom. I should know this because this is spring in South Dakota!! Thanks!! Kathy

They are quite adapted to this. Daylilies have the tendency to become invasive over time, so anything that can help impede that is, actually, a good thing!
Don't worry. They will come back. Cut off anything that is too dead to continue. Some of the growth will return to normal, but some ill need to be trimmed. When in doubt, cut it back completely. It won't hurt them!
