Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comDo hydrangeas have to have the old flowers picked to let the new one thrive? My hydrangea has new buds growing but I have left the dead flowers attached. I was told never to pick old ones off. Please can you help? The photo I have sent you is from last year.

The old faded blossoms can be pruned off of your plant.
