Do Hardy Kiwi Fruit Keep Their Leaves in Winter

I want a vine that has year round leaves for our entry trellis. I love the look of the hardy kiwi plant. Do they keep their leaves? Also, how old do they have to be to bear fruit?

They do not keep their leaves in the winter, but they grow so thickly that they often make a good cover even without the leaves.

They take up to 6 years to mature enough to bear fruit.
