Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHave a low yard that stays pretty wet when it rains a lot, along with crawdads and a small muddy ditch. I’ve seen pics of landscaping rock, etc. but in my case, the rocks would just stay muddy and icky. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Perhaps the thing to do is to do layers of sand and rock in this case. Start out with a good thick layer of landscaping or play sand. Then an even layer of 3/4 rock with a layer of the large rock over the top of that. Then the muddy water could filter through and the upper rock could be washed off to keep a nice appearance. I would suggest some more open landscape fabric underneath it all. Even the type with the biggest of openings might still clog up with mud, but might be worth a try though.
